The application tRev is a standalone that houses the tRev components. 

• tRev app handles its own component updates. 
• It tells you when it has a new component for you and also when the app itself needs updating. 
• You can also check to see if there are new components or a new build of the app via the Check for Updates menu item beneath tRev's Help menu. 
• It also shows you a link in the bottom left corner of your editor window, when there's one or more component for you to update or if the app needs to be downloaded and installed.

tRev app cannot, however, update itself. You must do that. It will tell you when it needs to be downloaded again and installed, but you must do the downloading and installing.

How do you determine if your tRev application is up-to-date other than using Check for Updates?

Check the build number in the title bar of the about box.

• You can get to the about box by choosing About tRev... from the Help menu on Vista and the tRev menu on OS X. 
• If your about box looks like the one below or has a build number lower than the one mentioned in recent posts on our website, you need to manually download a new tRev application from our website as prescribed below.

How do you update tRev, the application? Just go to the tRev web site and look on the right side of the page and click either or the prominent download buttons OR click the ones below. These are almost every post.

Click a download to get the tRev app, then put it where it belongs. Now you're ready to fire-up tRev!
