When do I need to renew my tRev?

Look at the lower left of your editor window:

If you have more than 60 days before expiration, your screen will look like the above. If less then 60 days until expiration, it will appear as you see below with an expiration date and a link to click for online renewal.

When you are within 30 days of expiration, the date turns yellow. Within 15 days, red.

As mentioned earlier...

You can use your tRev application forever (as long as it works with Revolution), but you only receive updates for one year with the initial purchase and by renewal thereafter. The renewal fee is currently $40 USD for 12 months of action-packed updates.

tRev has a yearly renewal fee for updates

Right now it costs $40 USD to renew tRev after its first year—or to switch from GLX2 to tRev. This fee is subject to change, as is our initial price. Your license is for YOU and however machines you personally use.

The yearly fees are for the nearly non-stop upgrades. If you do not renew, tRev does not stop working unless Revolution changes so much that it will not run. The Revolution language and Rev IDE change a lot and the OS's change a lot.

tRev is updated every week with enhancements, new features and optimizations. Sometimes more often. It is continually improving and keeping up with Revolution and two of the platforms it runs on: Mac OS X and Windows Vista/7.

When you are within 60 days from expiration tRev will tell you via the status field (shown directly above), when you will stop getting updates and offer you a clickable link to renew. When you are within 30 days of expiration, the date in the status field will turn yellow. When 15 days from expiration, it will turn red. The renewal link takes you to our secure PayPal page. Renewals add to the existing license end-date, btw.

Also, it is worth noting that the market for Revolution add-ons is VERY small. The fees we charge don't really cover the time being devoted to the product from our side. It is much more a labor of love than anything. On the upside, I get to use a really great script editor on my other work!
