How to install tRev (and how not to)

It's almost too easy:

  1. Download tRev by clicking one of the Download buttons below (or on right side of our site).
  2. Place the tRev app at the same level as Revolution.app or Revolution.exe.
  3. Drag tRev to your Dock or Taskbar
  4. Click the tRev icon on your Dock or Taskbar
When tRev opens, it automatically launces Rev for you if it isn't already open. If Rev is already running, tRev doesn't care. He will show you a small portrait of himself in the upper right corner of your screen, and then you're ready to rock and roar!

Windows: Always start tRev first. That way it will reliably communicate with Revolution IDE.

NOTE: Users of recent versions of Revolution, please make certain the Rev IDE's user extensions preference points to My Revolution Enterprise (use appropriate license type).

tRev "installed":

Where NOT to put tRev:

NOTE: If Rev has been renamed, tRev won't launch.

New installation process

With 300 series of builds you will get new folders in the My tRev Components folder:
You can delete all the GLX_ prefixed folders after launching this new tRev app— at your leisure, of course.

Future updates will be faster, asynchronous and will force you to quit tRev — and restart to use it. No more option-launching needed, btw.

Better support

In this version you can more easily send your favorite tool developer (that's me, btw) an email with questions:

You'll find this under the Help menu. It shows the following dialog:

That's all you have to enter in order to generate this email:
